Filmed live at London’s famous and historic Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, two international superstars of the operatic stage – glorious French soprano Natalie Dessay and Peruvian heart throb tenor Juan Diego Flórez – provide plenty of vocal fireworks in the starring roles. The opera has dazzlingly brilliant music for Marie and includes the tenor’s famous nine top note high C’s aria. There are wonderful choruses and sparkling playing from The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. One of The Royal Opera’s greatest achievements.
