Tribute to the King of Rock'n'Roll
Elvis is still alive for his fans, at least in their hearts. Even 30 years after his death, his music, his gyrations, his sex appeal, his voice and his performance will never die. This is why Producer Bernhard Kurz ("Stars in Concert"/Estrel Festival Center Berlin) has orchestrated a tribute to the King of Rock'n'Roll. Elvis is Grahame Patrick, whose show presents the whole musical range of the King, both young and old, with amazing versatility, bringing the King a bit closer to everyone – just like it was. This is the impression you have anyway as soon as the show begins, passing in review the musical life of Elvis, including gospel, blues and Rock'n'Roll. The culmination is, the 1973 Hawaii concert, where Elvis made music history.
In the show, Grahame Patrick plays with the vision of perfect illusion – with perfect gestures, a facial play which is 100 per cent identical, just as the costumes, which correspond to the original ones down to the last sequin, and, of course, he sings live! In the musical biography he is backed by three chorus girls. Both they and, Grahame Patrick are as impressive, authentic and vocally convincing as the "Sweet Inspirations", who were on stage with Elvis from 1969 to 1977. “Elvis – The Show” is an entertainment experience of a very special kind, which turns back the clock. The cult of the King lives again when Grahame Patrick steps into the spotlight, performing, singing and dancing with irresistible charm. Screaming girls are to be expected, if a little older, for this music has lost none of its magic. “Elvis – The Show” has enthused the audiences since 2001 in guest performances in Hamburg, in Essen, on the floating stage on Lake Chiemsee and, of course, at the Estrel Berlin, Europe's largest convention-, entertainment- & hotel-complex.
